Gromulch is a 2-in-1 product that can be used as a mulch or top dressing around trees and shrubs, helping to keep the soil cool and moist while providing a slow release of nutrients over time. This can be especially beneficial during hot summer months, when the soil can dry out quickly and plants may struggle to survive.
Verified by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI), Kellogg Garden Organics Gromulch is made of organic Recycled forest products, aged arbor fines, composted dairy manure, composted poultry manure, dehydrated poultry manure, and feather meal. Gromulch is enriched with natural fertilizer (0.30-0.10-0.10) and is useful as a soil amendment to mix with existing soil, or as a mulch to keep the soil cool and moist.

Q: Can I grow plants using only Gromulch as the potting mix ?
A: Gromulch was designed by Kellogg to be mixed with the native soil found in gardens or used as a top dressing mulch. It is not intended for use as a stand-alone product to grow plants.
Q: Is Gromulch a sterilized planting mix?
A: Kellogg does not sterilize any of their soil products as this would kill all of the beneficial nutrients and microbes. It is however, composted in large piles that reaches temperatures over 130℉ during the natural decomposing process. This temperature is hot enough to kill any type of pests and weed seeds.
