Description

Similar to Star Jasmine but with smaller, darker green leaves and smaller, yellowish-white flowers, Asian Jasmine has a dense, low growth habit great for a ground cover less than 1 ft. tall and spreading 6-10 ft. wide. A warm region evergreen sprawling vine with profuse clusters of fragrant, small, star-shaped flowers in summer. Provide afternoon shade in hot climates. Plant in a patio container or near an entry where the fragrance can be enjoyed.

Plant care

This plant can handle most soil types but prefers neutral, well-draining soil. Water regularly during the first year to aid the plant in establishing a strong root system, frequency can be reduced once established. Can be planted up to five feet apart or closer for a faster, fuller effect.
